Which Region Should You Pick?
The region tag decides which video standard the firmware follows. NTSC files run at 60 Hz and suit games released in North America, Japan, and most of Asia. PAL files run at 50 Hz and match European releases, which is why PAL versions of the same game often feel roughly 17% slower. When in doubt, match the BIOS to the region printed on your game, or take the USA NTSC dump for the widest compatibility.
How to Use the File
Once the .bin file finishes downloading, point your emulator at it. On PC, drop it into the bios folder inside your PCSX2 install; on Android, import it through the BIOS screen in AetherSX2 or ArmSX2. The emulator lists the region and version as soon as it reads the file, and from there your games are ready to boot. Step-by-step walkthroughs are in our AetherSX2 guide and PCSX2 guide.
